Saw – I (2004)

If you love watching psycho cum horror movies then this is just for you as it is one of most horrifying and tense movies with astonishing and mind blowing sequences. Two men wake up in dirty bathroom, having one of their feet chained to pipes. Between them lies a dead man with blood all around. And through a tape they are told that one must kill the other by 6:00 pm, or their family members will die. As some flashbacks are there, we are shown more victims of the psycho killer and the way he kills his victims is breathtaking as he never kills them but creates situations in which they have to kill themselves. A thriller and psychological which can make your mind jammed for some moments. A must see for all but with warnings for the weak hearts.
Directed By James Wan
Starring : Leigh Whannell, Cary Elwes, Danny Glover & More.

Psycho (1960)

The best movie I have seen till date about a psycho killer with split personality. I should not reveal the secret of the movie so you will have to see it to believe it. A masterpiece by the king of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. This movie is the source of inspiration for uncountable directors all over the world. And its has some of the best and first of its kind scenes shot in the history of cinema. Like the scene of the murder in the shower and the scene revealing the suspense in the end. Apart from the brilliant direction and camerawork, the third most powerful pillar of the movie is its background score which keeps haunting you in the dark even days after you have seen the movie. There are many interesting facts associated with this classic when it was premiered for the first time. A psychological hyped release was planned superbly for this suspense & horror film. Simply not to be missed at any cost if you love cinema & its power.
Directed By Alfred Hitchcock
Starring : Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh & Vera Miles

The Shining (1980)

Definitely one of the most intense and well made horror films without any scary ugly face. Its Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece with Jack Nicholson playing the lead with conviction. The sequence of two twin sisters and the sound experiment with the child riding his toy cycle is truly worth watching. You will find echoes of many ‘Ram Gopal Verma’ Bollywood Horror films in this movie as it is surely a source of inspiration for many. The climax needs a special mention as its shot in everything covered with snow and with a spine chilling suspense. A must for horror lovers without any dark spirits.

Dr. Terror’s House Of Horrors (1965)

A combination of Fun, Horror & Mystery is very rare and tough to attempt. This flick is a mix of several stories of different men under different situations. Its how they face unnatural happenings and unconventional things. It is a great fun to watch as it grips you with surprise each time it unfolds a mystery.
New unexpected twists and turns are there in each story and the climax is just superb. A must watch for lovers of spirits, ghosts and mysticism.
Directed By Freddie Francis
Starring : Christofer Lee, Max Adrian & More
