Faraar (1975)

A thriller movie featuring Amitabh Bachhan, Sharmila Tagore and Sanjeev Kumar has a plot in which a convict runs away from the police and takes shelter in a house. The lady of the house knows it and hides it from her husband as the convict has their son in his custody. Its not a complete version but it has very strong similarities with “Signpost To Murder”. Interestingly another movie “Ittefaq” starrign Rajesh Khanna was also a kind of remake of “Signpost to Murder”.

"Fanaa" takes it from "Eye of The Needle"

“Fanaa” starring Aamir Khan & Kajol has a first half with heavy dose of love and poetry. But its second half is clearly inspired from the 1981 released movie “Eye of The Needle”. Though there is no one blind on the english version but rest is all there in the same way. A spy has an accident, he is saved and gets a shelter from a family where there is a husband and a wife with a child. An affair starts within the characters. And in a a similar kind of climax the lady kills her lover with the gun when she come to know the truth about him.
In “Fanna” it was all indianized with a song with the child and other essential emotional elements incorporated.

Fool ‘N’ Final

A not so impressive inspired movie taking its content from “SNATCH”.  The only innovative thing in the movie was its promos designed as a comic and use of that in the movie editing. That really deserved appreciation.
